This article will help you understand how to connect and use WhatConverts on Oviond.

WhatConverts Permissions

In order to pull your WhatConverts data into Oviond, you will need a WhatConverts plan that includes API access.

Connecting WhatConverts To Oviond

To connect your WhatConverts account to Oviond you will need to generate a Private API key. Here is how to generate a private API key on WhatConverts:

  1. Log into your WhatConverts account.

  2. Select the account you wish to connect on the left-hand toolbar.

  3. Click Master Integrations from the settings menu.

  4. Click View Details in API Keys.

  5. Click Generate API Key if you have not yet generated one.

6. Once you have created a private API token and API Secret, open Oviond and navigate to the client you wish to connect WhatConverts to.

7. Click Integrations from the menu on the left and select WhatConverts.

8. Copy the private API token and API Secret that was generated in WhatConverts, paste it into the fields in the pop-out and click Next.

10. An authentication pop-up will appear (The first authenticated account will automatically be called "Default WhatConverts Account") and you can change this here.

11. Choose the WhatConverts account you wish to connect to and then click Save.

Limitations With WhatConverts On Oviond

In order to pull your WhatConverts data into Oviond, you will need a WhatConverts plan that includes API access.

You need to use the API Key and API Secret for the Master Account, and not your sub-accounts.

Please note that you can only have one WhatConverts connection running per account, meaning that you will be unable to connect your WhatConverts account to multiple clients within your Oviond account.

Reconnecting WhatConverts To Oviond

If you get this error message on your report "Data not found for WhatConverts! Click here to connect or refresh." that looks like this:

Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the refresh button next to the date selector in the project.

    if the widgets still don't load data

  2. Go to the Integration page for the client or click on connect in the widget and make sure you have connected the correct WhatConverts account. You will need to add a new authenticated account and make sure you have used the correct private API token and API Secret .
