Building a Query
Log in to Your Oviond Account
Navigate to Oviond's login page and enter your credentials.
Open a project
Select a client then select or create a project.
Access the project workspace editor
Click 'Edit'.
Click 'Data Query'
In the quick actions sidebar menu on the right of the canvas, click the 'Data Query' button.
Drag a Data Query
Drag a data query from the sidebar onto the canvas.
Select Data Source
Click on the data widget, then click on the blue plus button that appears on the right.
Select your data source from the list provided.
Specify Data Details
The details of the data source will open on the right-hand side.
Select the specifications you require for your query.
Save the Query
Click 'Save' to save the query with the selected specifications.
Customize the Widget Appearance
To change the appearance of the widget, click 'Display' at the top of the Edit Query drawer.
Here, you can change the name, add a description, choose a chart type, and style.
Customize further under the 'Sort By' and 'Advanced' dropdown menus.
Quick Action Menu
When a widget is selected, the quick action menu will appear at thew top of the canvas. These actions help make building and editing a project more efficient.
How to Save a Widget as an Asset
Select the widget you want to save.
Click the first button in the quick action menu, Save as Asset.
This widget will now be saved and available across clients and projects in the asset library.
How to Duplicate Queries
Select the widget you want to duplicate.
Click the second button in the quick action menu, Duplicate.
The duplicate widget will appear under the original. Click to edit or click and drag to move
How to Copy Queries
Select the widget you want to copy and use elsewhere in the project.
Click the third button in the quick action menu, Copy.
A pop-up will appear at the bottom of the canvas.
Scroll to where you wish to paste the copied widget.
Click and drag on the pop-up.
Note: this pop-up can be copied to multiple locations until you close it.
How to Delete Queries
Select the widget you want to delete.
Click the fourth button in the quick action menu, Delete.
Confirm by clicking 'Delete'.
