Connecting Google Business Profile on Oviond

Steps to assist you in connecting Google Business Profile on Oviond, including permissions, limitations, reconnecting, and error messages.

This article will help you understand how to connect and use Google Business Profile on Oviond.

Google Business Profile Permissions

In order to pull your Google Business Profile data through to Oviond, you need to have permission as an "Owner" or a "Manager" in the account. You are able to check your access in your Google Business Profile account by following these steps:

  1. Log into your Google Business Profile account.

  2. Click See your profile for the Business Profile you want to check your access to.

  3. Click the 3 little dots and go to your Business Profile settings.

  4. Clicks Managers.

  5. You are able to click on your name and see the access you have to the Business Profile.

Connecting Google Business Profile

In order to connect your Google Business Profile account to Oviond, you will need the email address and password for the Google account that the Business Profile is created in. You will only need to authenticate this email once on Oviond and then you will be able to connect to Business Profiles that are associated with that email address.

Steps to follow to connect Google Business Profile as an integration on Oviond:

  1. Open Oviond and navigate to the client you wish to connect Google Business Profile to.

  2. Click on Google Business Profile.

  3. An authentication pop-up will appear (The first authenticated account will automatically be called "Default Google Business Profile Account") and you can change this here.

  4. Click the Google Account you wish to connect to and then click Allow.

  5. Select Default Google Business Profile Account and click Next.

  6. Choose the Google Business Profile and click Next.

  7. Select the Business Locations you want to connect to your client.

  8. Click Save.

Limitations With Google Business Profile On Oviond

You will need to have access as an Owner or a Manager in the Google Business Profile account.


Reconnecting Google Business Profile To Oviond

If you get this error message on your report "Data not found for Google Business Profile! Click here to connect or refresh." that looks like this:

Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the refresh button next to the date selector in the project.

    if the widgets still don't load data

  2. Go to the Integration page for the client or click on connect in the widget and make sure you have connected the correct Google Business Profile account.

  3. Go to Manage Integrations and refresh the token for the authenticated account you connected to the client.
