Connecting WordPress On Oviond

This article will help you understand how to connect and use WordPress on Oviond.

WordPress Permissions

This integration is only for wordpress.com websites and wordpress.org websites are not supported by the API being used for this integration.

In order to pull your WordPress data through to Oviond, you will need to have access as an Administrator or Admin user to the backend of the website. You will then use the email address and password to log in to your account.

Connecting WordPress To Oviond

In order to connect your WordPress website to Oviond, you need the login details for the WordPress website, including the username and password associated with the website.

Steps to follow to connect WordPress as an integration on Oviond:

  1. Open Oviond and navigate to the client you want to connect WordPress to.

  2. Click on WordPress.

  3. An authentication pop-up will appear (The first authenticated account will automatically be called "Default WordPress Account") and you can change this here.

  4. Fill in the Email address/Username field then click Continue.

  5. Fill in the password then click Log In.

  6. Click Approve.

  7. Choose the WordPress account to connect to.

  8. Click Save.

Limitations With WordPress On Oviond

In order to pull your WordPress data through to Oviond, you will need to have access as an Administrator or Admin user to the backend of the website.

Self-hosted websites or websites hosted on a third-party hosting platform separate from WordPress will require Jetpack to be installed as a plugin on your WordPress website in order to pull data into Oviond.

Please note that the WordPress integration will only allow you to pull lifetime data.

Reconnecting WordPress To Oviond

If you get this error message on your report "Data not found for WordPress! Click here to connect or refresh." that looks like this:

Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the refresh button next to the date selector in the project.

    if the widgets still don't load data

  2. Go to the Integration page for the client or click on connect in the widget and make sure you have connected the correct WordPress account.

  3. Go to Manage Integrations and refresh the token for the authenticated account you connected to the client.
