Connecting Mention On Oviond

This article will help you understand how to connect and use Mention on Oviond.

Mention Permissions

In order to pull your Mention data into Oviond you will need your Mention login credentials which include an email address and password and have access as as Admin. If you need to be added as a member to the Mention account, an Admin can add you by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Mention account.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Click Administrator.

  4. Click +Add Admin.

  5. Fill in the new users name, email and workspace you want to add them to.

  6. Clicks Next.

  7. Manage the new users' Alert Access.

  8. Click Invite.

Connecting Mention To Oviond

To connect your Mention account to Oviond all you will need is your Mention login credentials (email address and password).

Steps to follow to connect Mention as an integration on Oviond:

  1. Open Oviond and navigate to the client you wish to connect Mention to.

  2. Click on Mention.

  3. An authentication pop-up will appear (The first authenticated account will automatically be called "Default Mention Account") and you can change this here.

  4. Fill in the email address and password associated with your Mention account and then click Connect Now.

  5. Click Authorize.

  6. Select Default Mention Account and then click Next.

  7. Choose the Mention account to connect to.

  8. Click Save.

Limitations With Mention On Oviond

You are only able to pull Lifetime data for Mention on Oviond.

Reconnecting Mention To Oviond

If you get this error message on your report "Data not found for Mention! Click here to connect or refresh." that looks like this:

Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the refresh button next to the date selector in the project.

    if the widgets still don't load data

  2. Go to the Integration page for the client or click on connect in the widget and make sure you have connected the correct Mention account.

  3. Go to Manage Integrations and refresh the token for the authenticated account you connected to the client.
