This article will help you understand how to connect and use Facebook on Oviond.

Facebook Permissions

In order to pull Facebook Page data on Oviond, you will need to have an Admin role on the Page under your Facebook profile.

You are able to check your Page Role by following these steps:

  1. Log into your Facebook account under a new browser tab.

  2. Under your shortcuts, select the page you would like to check access for.

  3. On the left menu bar, select Settings.

4. Scroll down until you find the option named Page Roles.

All the users that have been granted access to the page should be listed under this section, as well as their permission levels. To ensure a page pulls through to Oviond, your email address associated with your Facebook profile needs to have Admin access to the page (full account access).

If you can see your page does not have the appropriate permission for Oviond, contact the owner of the page to assign you an Admin Role.

Once you have been granted the right access to the page, it is advised to refresh the integration before attempting to reconnect Facebook to the client. You can refresh the integration here.

Connecting Facebook To Oviond

In order to connect your Facebook account to Oviond, you will need to know the login details to the Facebook account associated with the Account. All the Pages managed on this Facebook Account will be accessible for you to use on Oviond once this authentication has been made.

Let’s take a closer look at how to integrate Facebook on Oviond

  1. Make sure you are logged out of Facebook.

  2. Open Oviond and navigate to the client you want to connect Facebook to.

  3. Click on Facebook.

  4. Enter a name for the authentication and click Next.

  5. A pop-up authentication window will appear. You will be prompted to log in via Facebook using your email and password. Make sure you accept all permissions when doing so.

  6. Go through all the steps in the pop-up.

  7. Select the Facebook Account you would like to connect to and click Save.

Limitations With Facebook On Oviond

You will need to have an Admin Page Role with your Facebook profile in order to connect Facebook on Oviond.

Metric Limitations as per the Facebook API:

  • Most metrics will update once every 24 hours (this could cause the data to be slightly off).

  • Unique impression insights values are calculated independently: Total page reach may not always be exactly equal to the sum of paid and non-paid unique values / Total page reach may not always be exactly equal to the sum of viral_unique and organic_unique.

  • Page Insights data is only available on Pages with 100 or more likes.

  • Demographic metrics, such as age, gender, and location, are only returned if there is data for 100 or more people.

  • Breakdown metrics for Page post and Page view insights will only return non-zero values.

  • Several video-related metrics only return accurate values if the person requesting the metric is the Page video post creator.

  • If you reshare a video post of another Page and retrieve its insights, the metrics return a value of 0. Metrics that return 0 for resharers are denoted with "Returns 0 for reshared videos" in their description.

  • Interactions on Reels are not included.

Reconnect Your Facebook Account

Possible error 1:

If you get this error message on your project, "Data not found for the selected date range. Change the date range in the date selector at the top of your project", that looks like this:

Possible error 2:

If you get this error message on your project, "Data not found for Facebook! Click here to connect or refresh.", please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the refresh button next to the date selector in the project.

    if the widgets still don't load data

  2. Go to the Integration page for the client or click on connect in the widget and make sure you have connected to the correct Facebook Page.

  3. Go to Manage Integrations and refresh the token for the authenticated account you connected to the client.


Possible error 3:

If the Facebook Page you want to connect to Oviond is not appearing on the list of Facebook Pages available on the integration page, please follow these steps to re-integrate Facebook on Oviond.

Please follow these steps:

First, go to Business Integrations on Facebook to check that all permissions are enabled. Click on View and edit and make sure all the toggles are on.

If all is correct on the Business integration side in the Facebook settings but your client's Facebook pages are still not appearing in the list, please follow the steps below:

  1. Remove Facebook from all clients on Oviond then go to and remove the authentication for Facebook.

2. Go to www.facebook.com and log into the Facebook account from which you manage these pages.

3. Go to Business Integrations.

4. Remove Oviond as a Business Integration.

5. Log out of Facebook.

6. Go back into Oviond and go into a client to connect Facebook to.

7. Go through the authentication process of adding Facebook to the client again.

8. When the pop-up window asks you "Choose what you allow", click into it and make sure you have all the pages you manage selected (if the page you want to connect to Oviond is not here, you don't have Admin access to the page).
