Google Analytics 4 Permissions

In order to pull your Google Analytics 4 data into Oviond, you will need an Administrator role in the Account Access Management section of the Property you are connecting to your client project on Oviond. You are able to check the Account Access Management access your email has been granted by following these steps:

  1. Go into the correct View of the Property you are trying to connect to Oviond.

  2. Click in Admin.

  3. Click on Account Access Management in the Account/Property section.

  4. Click on your name in the list of users that have permission to the account.

  5. Ensure that Administrator is selected.

  6. Click on Save.

Connecting Google Analytics 4 To Oviond

In order to connect your Google Analytics 4 account to Oviond, you will need the email address and password for the Google account that the Google Analytics 4 account is associated with. You will only need to authenticate this email once on Oviond and then you will be able to connect to any Google Analytics 4 account that is associated with that email address.

Steps to follow to connect Google Analytics 4 as an integration on Oviond:

  1. Open Oviond and navigate to the client you wish to connect Google Analytics 4 to.

  2. Click on Google Analytics 4.

  3. An authentication pop-up will appear (The first authenticated account will automatically be called "Default Google Analytics 4 Account") and you can change this here.

  4. Click the Google Account you wish to connect to and then click Allow.

  5. Choose Default Google Analytics 4 in the integration connection pop-up on the right.

  6. Choose Analytics 4 account, click Next.

  7. Choose the Web Property, click Next

  8. Choose the View, click Save.

Limitations With Google Analytics 4 On Oviond

You will need to have an Administrator role on the account in order to connect Google Analytics 4 on Oviond.

Reconnecting Google Analytics 4 To Oviond

If you get this error message on your report "Data not found for Google Analytics 4! Click here to connect or refresh."

Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the refresh button next to the date selector in the project.

    if the widgets still don't load data

  2. Go to the Integration page for the client or click on connect in the widget and make sure you have connected the correct Google Analytics 4 account.

  3. Go to Manage Integrations and refresh the token for the authenticated account you connected to the client.
