Connecting a new integration can often be stressful. How do you know if your account is set up correctly when you're working with so many different platforms? Sometimes something as simple as a permission level can prevent you from connecting that integration to Oviond. In this article, we will be helping you understand how to get started with Stripe on Oviond.

Permission Level

Connecting your Stripe account to Oviond requires you to have a secret key. Not all roles on Stripe will have access to the API key. Only Administrators can use Stripe's secret key.

To check your current role on stripe:

  1. Select the profile icon on the top right corner.

  2. Under the menu select Profile.

  3. At the bottom of the page, you will see a section named Accounts, where your current role will be listed.

Reconnecting Stripe To Oviond

Working with APIs means that sometimes your integrations will need to be refreshed for security reasons. There are two error messages to look out for that can indicate that the integration needs to be refreshed: Error: You Have Encountered An Unknown Error or Error: Missing Or Incorrect Authentication Credentials.

If you refresh your dashboard or your reports and you are prompted with the above error message, you will need to refresh your integration.

Here is how you can refresh your Stripe integration:

  1. On the integration page in your client, click Stripe.

  2. Click the 3 dots at the top right of the authentication pop-out and click Add Account.

  3. Enter a name for the authentication and click Next.

  4. Paste the Secret Key into the empty field and click Save.
