Connecting a new integration can often be stressful. How do you know if your account is set up correctly when you're working with so many different platforms? Sometimes something as simple as a permission level can prevent you from connecting that integration to Oviond. In this article, we will be helping you understand how to get started with Facebook Ads on Oviond.
Facebook Ads Permissions
If you are trying to link your Facebook Ads account to Oviond and you see the page does not appear under the drop-down menu, the first thing you need to do is check the permission level on your account. To check this:
Log into your business manager under a new browser tab.
Select the business account where the ad account you are looking to connect to Oviond is linked.
On the bottom left, select the icon named Business Settings.
Under Accounts, select Ad Accounts.
All the users that have been granted access to the Ad Account should be listed under this page, as well as their permission levels. To ensure the Ad Account pulls through to Oviond, your email needs to have Admin access to the Ad Account (full account access).
If you can see that you don’t have the appropriate permission for Oviond, you can request access to the Ad Account (this can be done through your Business Manager) or you can contact the owner of the Ad Account and ask them to grant access to your email.
Once you have been granted the correct Ad Account access, it is advised to refresh the integration token on Oviond before attempting to reconnect the integration to the client account again. Learn more about refreshing an integration token.
Connecting Facebook Ads To Oviond
In order to connect your Facebook Ads account to Oviond, you will need to know the login details to the Facebook account associated with the Ad Account. All the Pages managed on this Facebook Account will be accessible for you to use on Oviond once this authentication has been made.
Let’s take a closer look at how to integrate Facebook Ads on Oviond
Make sure you are logged out of Facebook.
Open Oviond and navigate to the client you want to connect Facebook Ads to.
Click on Facebook Ads.
Enter a name for the authentication and click Next.
A pop-up authentication window will appear. This will prompt you to log in to your Facebook account with your email and password.
Go through all the steps in the pop-up.
Select the Business Account you would like to connect and click Next.
Select the Ad Account you would like to connect and click Save.
Reconnecting Facebook Ads To Oviond
Working with APIs means that sometimes your integrations will need to be refreshed for security reasons. There are two error messages to look out for that can indicate that the integration needs to be refreshed: Error: You Have Encountered An Unknown Error or Error: Missing Or Incorrect Authentication Credentials.
If you refresh your dashboard or your reports and you are prompted with the above error message, you will need to refresh your integration. You can refresh your Facebook Ads token on the Manage Integrations page in the Settings section on your Oviond account.
