Connecting a new integration can often be stressful. How do you know if your account is set up correctly when you're working with so many different platforms? Sometimes something as simple as a permission level can prevent you from connecting that integration to Oviond. In this article, we will be helping you understand how to get started with Wistia on Oviond.

Connecting Wistia To Oviond

To connect Wistia to Oviond you will need to generate an API token. Here is how to generate an API token on Wistia:

  1. Once you have logged into your Wistia account, navigate to Account.

  2. Under the menu click Settings.

  3. Under the right-side menu select API Access. You should see this under the Advanced Section.

  4. Create a new API token by clicking on New Token next to Your API Tokens.

  5. Name the API token to help you identify what platform you have used the key on and select the permission to Read, update, and delete anything.

  6. Once you are done, press Create Token.

  7. Once you have generated the API token, click Copy.

  8. Oviond Oviond and navigate to the client you want to connect Wistia to.

  9. Click on Wistia.

  10. Enter a name for the authentication and click Next.

  11. Paste your API into the field and click Save.

Reconnecting Wistia To Oviond

Working with APIs means that sometimes your integrations will need to be refreshed for security reasons. There are two error messages to look out for that can indicate that the integration needs to be refreshed: Error: You Have Encountered An Unknown Error or Error: Missing Or Incorrect Authentication Credentials.

If you refresh your dashboard or your reports and you are prompted with the above error message, you will need to refresh your integration.

To reconnect Wistia to Oviond, you will need to completely remove Wistia from your account.

In order to remove Wistia from your account, you will need to first disconnect the integration from each client. Learn more about disconnecting an integration.

Once you have removed your Wistia integration from all the connected clients, you will need to delete the integration from the account setting. Learn more about deleting an integration.

After the integration has been completely removed from the account, return to your client project and reconnect the integration to the account. Learn more about adding an integration to an existing client.

Wistia Limitations

Please note that our Wistia integration will only allow you to pull lifetime data and you will not be able to pull data by date.
