# Share links safely

Best practices before sending report links to clients.

Before sending a report link:

-   Open it yourself.
    
-   Check branding.
    
-   Check date ranges.
    
-   Confirm all widgets load.
    
-   Make sure the link is for the right client.
    

Avoid reusing links across clients. A report link should only be sent to people who are meant to see that report.

If a client says a link does not work, test the link in a private browser window first.
