# Remove a custom domain

Stop using a domain for shared reports.

## Important

Warning: removing a custom domain can affect client-facing links that use that domain.

Before removing a domain:

-   Confirm no active clients rely on it.
    
-   Update shared links if needed.
    
-   Tell your team which domain should be used instead.
    
-   Keep DNS records until you are sure the transition is complete.
    

If in doubt, add the replacement domain and test it before removing the old one.
