Connecting Shopify on Oviond - Temp Feb 2026

Temporary Setup: Connect Your Shopify Store to Oviond

We're currently waiting on Shopify to approve our new OAuth integration (approximately 2 weeks). In the meantime, please follow these steps to connect your store.


What you’ll need

1) Shopify access

• You must be the Store Owner (or a staff member with permission to manage app development / install apps).

• Your store URL (example: your-store.myshopify.com)

2) Shopify Partners account

• A free Shopify Partners account get one here https://www.shopify.com/partners

Step 1: Open the Shopify Dev Dashboard

1. Go to dev.shopify.com

2. Log in with your Shopify Partners account on

Step 2: Create a new app

1. In the left menu, click Apps

2. Click Create app

3. Choose Start from Dev Dashboard

4. Name it (example: “Oviond Integration”)

5. Click Create

Step 3: Create an app version + set access scopes + release it

1. Go to the Versions tab

2. Set App URL to:
   https://shopify.dev/apps/default-app-home

3. Under Access scopes, select the permissions Oviond needs (copy this exactly: read_customers, read_reports)

4. Click Release

Important: The app must be Released before it can be installed using the distribution install link.

Step 4: Create an install link (Custom distribution)

1. Click on the app and click distribution box on right

2. Select Custom distribution

3. Enter your store domain (example: your-store.myshopify.com)

4. Click Generate link

5. Copy the install link

Step 5: Install the app on your store

1. Open the install link in your browser

2. Select your store (if prompted)

3. Click Install

4. Approve the requested permissions

Step 6: Get your credentials (Client ID + Client Secret)

1. Go back to your app in the Dev Dashboard

2. Open Settings

3. Copy:

   • Client ID

   • Client secret

Step 7: Enter details in Oviond

Inside Oviond, paste:

1. Store URL (example: your-store.myshopify.com)

2. Client ID as copied above

3. Client Secret as copied above
