# Archive or delete a client

Understand what happens before removing a client.

## Important

Warning: removing a client can affect reports, dashboards, connected data sources, and historical reporting access for that client.

Before removing a client:

-   Confirm you selected the correct client.
    
-   Check whether the client has active shared report links.
    
-   Check whether any scheduled reports still send to the client.
    
-   Export or save anything you may need later.
    

If you are not sure whether the action is recoverable, pause and ask an account admin or Oviond support first.
