Connecting a new integration can often be stressful. How do you know if your account is set up correctly when you're working with so many different platforms? Sometimes something as simple as a permission level can prevent you from connecting that integration to Oviond. In this article, we will be helping you understand how to get started with PayPal on Oviond.
Connecting PayPal To Oviond
To connect PayPal to Oviond you will need a Client ID and a Secret Key. Here is how you can find your Client ID and Secret Key on PayPal:
Once you have logged into your PayPal account, scroll down until you see your account footer and select Developers.
At the top right corner of the screen, select Dashboard.
Select My Apps and Credentials.
Under this page, click Live.
Select Create App.
Name the App to help you identify what platform you have used the Client ID and Secret Key in and click Create App.
Under the section Live App Settings, tick the option Transaction Search and click Save.
Open Oviond and click on the client you wish to add PayPal to.
An authentication pop-out will appear. Enter a name for the authentication and click Next.
Copy your Client ID and Secret Key and paste them into the fields in the Oviond authentication pop-out.
Once you are done, click Save.
Reconnecting PayPal To Oviond
Working with APIs means that sometimes your integrations will need to be refreshed for security reasons. There are two error messages to look out for that can indicate that the integration needs to be refreshed: Error: You Have Encountered An Unknown Error or Error: Missing Or Incorrect Authentication Credentials.
To reconnect PayPal to Oviond you will need to first Disconnect PayPal from your client, and then connect PayPal as a new integration. Learn more about adding an integration to an existing client.
