Connecting a new integration can often be stressful. How do you know if your account is set up correctly when you're working with so many different platforms? Sometimes something as simple as a permission level can prevent you from connecting that integration to Oviond. In this article we will be helping you understand how to get started with WhatConverts on Oviond.

Connecting WhatConverts to Oviond

To connect your WhatConverts account to Oviond you will need to generate a Private API key. Here is how to generate a private API key on WhatConverts:

  1. Log into your WhatConverts account.

  2. Select the account you wish to connect on the left-hand toolbar.

  3. Under the Integrations drop-down, click API Keys.

  4. Click Add API Key if you have not yet generated one.

  5. Once you have created a private API key, open your Oviond account.

  6. Select the client you wish to connect WhatConverts to and click on the WhatConverts integration.

  7. A pop-out will appear. Name the authentication for the integration.

  8. Copy the private API key and API Secret that was generated and paste it into the fields in the pop-out.

  9. Click Save.


Reconnecting WhatConverts To Oviond

Working with API’s means that sometimes your integrations will need to be refreshed for security reasons. There are two error messages to look out for that can indicate that the integration needs to be refreshed: Error: You Have Encountered An Unknown Error or Error: Missing Or Incorrect Authentication Credentials.

If you refresh your dashboard or your reports and you are prompted with the above error message, you will need to reconnect your WhatConverts integration by first removing it from your client, and then adding it as a new integration.

WhatConverts Limitations

You need to use the API Key and API Secret for the Master Account, and not your sub-accounts.

Please note that you can only have one WhatConverts connection running per account, meaning that you will be unable to connect your WhatConverts account to multiple clients within your Oviond account.
